I'm constantly showing off my droid? There's so much ... What's on the top of your list when you're doing a three minute demo for someone who's unfamiliar with the device? For me:

1. Wifi Tether
2. Email/Calendar Apps
3. GPS/Nav

Last edited:
1. Google Navigation / Car Dock (My most favorite feature of my Android Phone)
2. Mobile Defense app
3. Live Wallpapers (always a crowd pleaser)

EDIT: Voice Search is extremely accurate as well and never disappoints.

-google earth
-car home & nav
-pinch to zoom in gallery, xscope, etc.
-overclocking difference on performance. change setcpu down to 600mhz then back to 1000mhz and show difference in general snappiness, browser smoothness, gallery smoothness, and google earth.

I go around business associates' offices and scan barcodes and show them where to buy/how much the items cost.

Also, my defense contractors are required to scan their barcode labels for me. If I come across one without a scanner, I pop out my Droid and show off a bit.

All of the above plus Talk to Me app that translates English to Spanish and other languages using voice recognition. Also, Beautiful Widgets animated weather forecast, barcode scanner and metal detector. Finally, using internet voice search, I say a mathematical equation and the answer appears in the Google search results. Pretty cool!

I agree with WiFi Tether...in school today 2 of my friends with ipod touches connected to it and were wouldn't believe it...until i got it taken away :(

I have been using my Droid in a seminar at work this week and it's gotten a lot of attention. I probably spent an hour and a half showing it off just today and I have about five people who say they might get one now.

It doesn't take much to please people with old Blackberries. The moment I turn that gorgeous screen on, they gasp. Swype gets their attention, too. I have been showing them how easy it is to use your email and calendar, how well the browser works and all the cool features of maps/navigation. I usually do a quick spin through the Market. I showed off PhoneMyPC, played a bit of a movie on it and even demonstrated the geocaching app (c:geo) to someone. Google Earth is always a big hit, as is the Facebook app (but that could be so much better). If I had been thinking, I would have busted out Shop Savvy, Qik, Goggles, Google Sky Map, the Tricorder app, an emulator, Urbanspoon, YouTube, and Google Voice, but my demo is already long enough! :)
