Weird problem with a contact.

Hopefully someone has run into this before. My girlfriend's mobile number has become disassociated from her contact. Right now I have all of our text messages but instead of displaying her name nly her number shows. She's still listed as a contact but her work and mobile numbers aren't there anymore. When I add he number back it dissapears after a very brief period.

Any ideas??

Cheers,

If you have contacts saved to the Verizon cloud... and you also enabled contacts to be saved to Google.... that may be the problem.

Find her in your contacts list. Hit "edit". If she's in there twice then either delete one of her of "join" the contacts.

Of course, it's entirely possible that your phone is possessed by the denizens of the underworld.... in which case I can't help you.... only to recommend a good exorcist.

Try the "edit" thing first though, cheaper than an exorcist.

Double check your settings in contracts too. There should be an option to select which contacts to display, though if her name shows up that's probably not the problem. Good to check it off the list of possibilities.

^^ what jk said.
Contacts
3 dots in upper right hand corner
Contact to to display

Check either cloud or Google, not "all".
If contacts are saved to both selecting the one which saved with all her info will get you back on track.

I didn't have her as a multiple contact so I just deleted her. She got lucky, adding her back seemed to work. If it didn't I may have had to go back out on the prowl. [emoji12]
