Weird dialer issue

I am having a really weird issue with the dialer after or during calls. Everytime I answer a call I can't get back into the dialer and I have to do a battery pull just to get my phone to turn back on again. I am rooted but this issue has happened with every froyo Rom I have used. This is an extremely annoying issue and if anyone has a fix I would greatly appreciate your input!

Can a mod please move this to rescue squad. I am literally ready to throw my phone into a brick wall because of this issue.

Repost this in a different section. I don't think it's gonna get much love here in Off Topic.

Yeah I wouldn't repost. I have not seen a single person have this same issue so I think it may be the refurb direction for me unfortunately.

If your phone is stock I would try a factory reset

If it is Rooted you probably have some more options, is it rooted or stock ?

I think I may have fixed the issue (knock on wood) I set the timeout delay for 5 seconds opposed to immediately and now it seems to be working fine. I don't understand why it randomly started to not work though. I mean it has always been set for immediate timeout delay and then it just stopped working. Very strange but for now a brick wall is spared as is my droid.

Update : Nope still not working, worked for like 1 call. I give up, I guess I have to go with a crappy refurb now. My droid was so good to me while it lasted, it allowed me to overclock it to whatever I wanted, didn't really give me any issues other than this. RIP Jeff's first Droid.
