waiting for network

irritent

New Member
My apps arent downloading from the google apps store for some reason. it says "waiting for network" for the last 4 hours now.

I tried flipping it into airplane mode didn't work. It was in 4g and 3g still didn't download. I turned off and on wifi and mobile data plan, still didnt work.

One of the apps is paid for so i don't want to redownload it. Thx for any help.

Are you rooted? What ROM? Network? WiFi or other? Can you receive other forms of data?

You can try to delete your Google account and re-enter it.

Not rooted. Don't know what you mean by ROM or network. Wifi is on. I am getting texts.

How would i go about deleting my google account and would it affect my other things like my gmail app?

It would, but only for the period of time while it was removed from tour device, then it would be back. Go into settings, Accounts and you'll see a Google account there.

Try force stopping the Google play app or even clearing the cache.

removed google account, turned off, resigned in, still "waiting for network"

finally. i uninstalled google app, reinstalled, stopped the download, and chose NOT to use wifi and it worked.

You can in fact re-download a paid for app. It knows you have already paid for it. Not sure about your network issue though. You might want to get your Google stuff back into your phone and synced so it does update your apps...
