I am considering one of these for an upcoming back country trip. We'll be out 10 days in the bush but Verizon maps show the region as having coverage. Can anyone advise from experience or the written specs if this device will charge a DroidX? If so, how many times from a full battery? I've looked at a lot of portable solar chargers and these seem to be the best looking from a quality standpoint that are reasonably priced.

My concern would be that it is only 600 ma. Somebody may correct me, but I think the usb/pc charger is 800 ma and that is pretty slow.

It would probably be fine if the phone is just being used for phone purposes. If you plan on using GPS it would discharge while charging.

I'm planning to use the phone for GPS, phone calls, cameras, whatever I need and when I get back in the evening to camp, plug it in and let it charge overnight from the battery pack.
