Voice Recorder App

I am a writer and would like to no longer have to carry my hand held recorder around all the time. But I can't find an app that will allow me to pause or stop... then start recording again in the same file.

Does anyone know if there is an app that will do this?

I can't help with the pause/continue, but I use Hertz for recording audio and the quality is amazing.

Where can I get Hertz? I'm looking for something that can record theater audio well. Thanks.
