Vibrate for Notifications???????

It appears that vibrate is only for phone calls? That's crazy, if I'm in a meeting, or outside in a loud environment and my phone is in the case, I want to know if I've received a text or email. Is there no way to have the phone vibrate for notifications?????? I've never seen a phone that couldn't do this. Hope someone has an answer.

Go into the settings for the individual application (email, sms) and make sure the "Vibrate" option is checked.

Someone should make a sticky for this, it's been asked a couple times now. But yea, options in each app will have a vibrate option
