I'm glad they still put their marketing behind it. I got the BB Curve 8830 a month after it came out and it seemed like they stopped caring about that device by the end of that summer.
I received that email twice, when I had the Droid for less than 30 days. I thought Verizon was worried that I may return the phone since I had to do an early upgrade during a trip when my prior phone flipped out on me. Fortunately, I like my Droid.
