USB Tethering not working

Bionic, rooted, but no roms or changes made. Only to install wireless tether. Just tried USB tether but no joy. Dell inspiron pc says connecting......... but never connects. Motorola drivers installed on PC. Any ideas?

Try connecting to a wifi network then disconnect & try USB again. A reboot may also help. If that doesn't work, a factory reset will do it (I had to do this once).

Tried that, no luck. Unidentified network, no internet. It is connected to the Motorola USB adapter.

Must be my pc... my daughter has a bionic, plugged it into my pc via usb and no internet...

Mine didn't work a few days ago, but Friday it worked just fine. No other changes made other than a reboot.

When it didn't work I had the same situation as what you described.....

Mine worked fine till I updated 5.5.893. Moto probably blocked it with update.
