Youre never truly locked into a phone. I usually flip phones on ebay. The difference between my old phone and a newer one runs about $150ish. VZW doesnt care as long as you pay the monthly. My attitude is buy today what you need today and do likewise tomorrow. It's not like youre buying a house.

Just an update... apparently the bootloader keys have been made public today (NOT by Motorola). With a little luck, we may get updates beyond GB after all I have to admit I'm holding my breath a little bit lol. And judging by Motorola's reaction (instantaneous cease & desist order) it sounds like this could be the real deal.
