Droid X at Walmart $89

Before I upgraded this week my girlfriends upgrade was to be tomorrow the 20th. Can't I just return the phones to VZW and goto Walmart to get the X for $89? My upgrade is next month, I don't see why Walmart wouldn't just give me the upgrade too since my girlfriends is tomorrow and mine is on Dec 12th.
