The above pic is supposedly a leak of the new Motorola Atrix 3 phone. This phone will likely be launched to compete head-to-head with the LG X3 and the HTC One[sup]x[/sup]. Within the pic, some other details of the phone's specs were revealed, and this phone could be a monster if the rumors are true! Here's a breakdown:
  • Quad-Core Tegra 3
  • A whopping 2GB Ram!
  • A 720p (nearly 16:9 aspect ratio, when turned sideways) display
  • 10MP camera with dual LED flash
  • The same 3300mAh Droid RAZR MAXX battery
Keep in mind that this "leak" could just be an imaginary device instead of a real prototype; however, if it is real, then the world of Android smartphones might just start to heat back up again sometime later this year. It's too bad that the Atrix 3 will be unlikely to come to Verizon, but it at least points to some form of Motorola Quad-Core device later this year. Of course, Moto may very well bring a different version of this device to VZW at some point... perhaps a Droid Bionic 2, Droid RAZR MAXX 2, or Droid 5?

Share your rants. :)

Update: Sadly, a new update has already come out regarding the phone. Apparently, it is just a concept device, and is not something that is actually in the works yet. Here's the Tweet explaining it: Twitter - Atrix 3 Concept. It still looks like an interesting concept. Perhaps in the second half of this year Moto might actually pull out something like this... it's worth some speculation.

Here's a concept: It's a Nexus with the word Motorola photoshopped on the bottom! ;)

Bets that the next Nexus will be from Moto and sporting something like this, with the ability to dual-boot Chrome OS? Only need I can see for 2gigs ram in a phone is if it dual boots Chrome OS or maybe a full Linux flavor.

That's where MS could still make this a 3-horse race if they get it together and release a phone capable of dual-booting maybe a "lite" version of Windows. Plug in a keyboard and monitor and then use the FULL Office suite => Game changer.

Do the townsfolk really need horseless carriages?

I'd rather have it and not need it than the other way around.

do people really need dual cores? no.. but thats how the market works... how would these companies make money off consumers if they sell the same spec'ed phones year after year
