Update version 2.2 for Galaxy S - Fascinate

So if I root my phone using this z4root and uninstall some verizon boat ware and then switch back to the un rooted version will the apps still be gone?

I'd be lying if I said either way. Truth is, I myself never checked. Hopefully another could answer that for you; I am sorry but i'd rather not act like I know when I don't.

All your downloaded applications are listed in my downloads in the market so any lost applications can be redownloaded. However, I read that overclocking can burn out your battery. Have you had battery issues after rooting?

I know it may be alittle confusing or sound that way; but really its not and you will get the hang of it after awhile. i was there too.

Ya I have wanted to explore with rooting but I get nervous. Especially since I just got this phone a week ago, coming from the droid 1. Does it change the appearance of the phone? I guess I imagine it as almost "jumping" into another portal or something lol.. Like I'll do it and my phone will be totally different.

LOL...Naw, not until you make it different. and thats what so fun about it...you can make your phone your phone, and there are so many walkthroughs for each thing that you want to do that if you just follow them; you'll be fine... but I will say that rooting app, is the EASIEST way I've done it, by far. but do it when you feel good enough. I just got mine too, after I just lost my DX...

What do you mean rooting an app? If I root my phone will I still be able to download apps from the market as normal? Last annoying question..for now lol.. If I simply rooted my phone and nothing else is it safe to always leave it like that? Or should I un root it every once in a while?

NO...I mean the rooting app that rooted my phone for me and if I dont want my phone rooted anymore, it will unroot it for me. and yes. you can, youll still be able to. none of the normal stuff changes.
