UPDATE: Verizon Is Honoring The Upgrade Glitch You Get To Keep Your Unlimited Data!

If you took advantage of the VerizonWireless.com Glitch and managed to upgrade your device and keep your plan, then you got super lucky. Verizon has released a statement saying that they had a software issue but they will be honoring all approved orders. Verizon was certain to mention that they had resolved the software issue today 9/30, and that they no longer offer unlimited data plans. They will allow you to maintain unlimited data through the duration of your contract.

I think it is safe to say that this may never happen again. This is welcomed news as many of us were stressing over this "trap" theory. Some folks were thinking that even if it was a glitch orders would be canceled, or we would be forced onto 2gb plans. I think Verizon has really taken the high road here. This was a good call on their part. It is too bad that the loophole was only open for a few hours. I was able to get in on it. I hope you were too!

Glad that VZW let all of the people keep their unlimited data and their upgrades. At least they are doing something to say "we still care" and not just reverse the unlimited data. Usually, there would have to be an uproar from the customers before anything was done.

Yeayyy!! So glad I decided to log into this site Saturday night. I hope the G2 is as good as the reviews make it out to be. I never got to use the $30 off coupon since I didn't know at the time, but the entire process is still a win to me.

As cool as it would have been to get a new phone with unlimited data on Verizon, I don't think I could lock myself with them for another 2 years, so I'm glad I passed on this. Happy for the ones that got through and are content with the outcome though!

Yaaaaaa...this makes me a happy man. The wife and I were really excited to get new phones. Now that its confirmed its going through its just icing on the cake. Also got $100 off a 60in TV yesterday so I'm having a good week.

I can't believe I missed this. I go on the site once or twice a week to see if today is going to be the day that I finally pull the trigger but I really don't want to lose unlimited and I don't see myself buying it on full retail and I'm not really interested in the Edge plan. If I can get the Max data plan without the edge plan i would make the change in a heart beat.

At some point I have to break ties with VZW. The wife is in it for another 2 years, but I'm free come this December. Let's give another vendor a shot and see if they aren't as bad as Verizon makes them out to be. :blink:

ahh boo. I read a rumor somewhere over the weekend that VZW might be shipping the Note 3's early so I got my hopes up that it could be true. Luckily, everyone around me has VZW so I wont have any AT&T or TMo people mocking me with theirs while we wait on VZW to release it.
