Update keeps Aborting itself

i am trying to update my droid to the 2.0.1 so i can root it, but when it comes to the apply update on sd thing it while loading it aborts itself EVERY TIME

had this problem too once. Why are you rooting from 2.0.1, there are ways to root from stock 2.1 now...? Flash clockwork or sprecovery again, add your rom (making sure you change the name to update.zip) then boot into recovery mode again and install.
