Unroot back to stock

I have been overclocking and ROMming for the last 4 months, and have run into a few problems that I can't attribute to any single ROM, any version of Froyo, or my phone.

I have had inconsistent results with connecting to Wi-Fi, which seem to be in relation to a problem with the Movies player. When I'm watching a video podcast (doesn't matter which app), the video ends and freezes, and I can't do anything without a force close. The next video that is played is all warped and distorted, and the only way to fix it is to reboot the phone. This happens no matter which ROM, kernel, or theme I'm using.

I'm so frustrated with it, I'm going to try restoring everything to stock, including the recovery boot image, all the internal phone data (which sticks around even after wipe data/cache), the firmware, everything.

Is this even possible, will a Verizon outlet do this for me without the warranty, and what is the best way to do it if they won't?
