Uninstall the rom???

_Killer_

Member
On my D1 simply doing a factory reset would uninstall the rom... that does not seem to be the case here with the D2... Any help??? trying to unroot as well.. found the steps but it didn't seem to work..

did you make a nandroid backup?

I'm looking for one now.. BUT honestly I don't think I did initially...

I did this months ago and really haven't fooled with much since.. shortly after installing the rom I had done a factory reset i thought that uninstalled it... THEN a couple of weeks ago i realized it hadn't.. lol..

I know that makes me sound retarded... I was so used to my D1 and really just didn't read up on the D2 before fooling around with it.. wish i would have now though!

1) a factory reset does not uninstall a rom it just lets you start it fresh.

2) if you did not make a nandroid back up you can install tbh TBH & MyDroidWorld Present: Droid 2 (2.3.20) Triple Threat

that will get you back to stock rooted. If you want to go back to complete stock they have the sbf there. To run an sbf boot into the bootloader (power on + up)

this video shows the basics (before I post just to let you know that the video is meant to show you the basics....do not attempt to use the file he is using, you do not need to worry about the patch, the video is meant to show you the basics. you will use the sbf file and sbf from tbh, in fact in the video you can just start at when he gets to the bootloader.

here are the vids:

Thanks again!

*** Edit.. in looking at the thread on my droid world it seems you can use rsdlite.. BUT which sbf am i looking for to go full stock (no root)??
