unable to change my notification sound

i used to be able to, but now i cannot change my notification sound. it is just stuck on the default "droid" one. which i like, but would like to have the option. anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it. thanks for any info.dancedroid

same here but mine is for the contacts ringtone. everytime i try to change a ringtone for a contact it stays on default.

Figured it out. You can't change it by using settings/sound
You have to open your text message window and go to options/ sound / and change it that way.
