Notification Sounds

I have a Droid 4. You can set sounds for "notifications" but it seems like this is only for texts.
Emails (personal or work) do not give me a sound notification. Anyone else figure this out?

I'm having a problem too. I think I tried everything including dlding quick settings...its a no go.....anybody...help?

I don't know for certain, but perhaps the settings are within the email app itself?

I fixed it (temporarly) I dwnlded the verizon text app and it works. Gonna delete it and report back if it works after dat.
