Droid X2 notification sounds

I was trying to get different notification sounds for email and texts but it appears that in the sound settings, all notifications (email/text) have to have the same sound. Am I missing something?

Gingerbread (2.3.x ) version supports only incoming call ringtone and notification ringtone

All notifications ( email / text / calendar ) can have different notification ringtone in devices with android version 4.0 or above.
