Two Questions

I have seen for lack of a better term, a tool bar that is short cuts to screen brightness, blue tooth enable, etc. My first question is how can I get this for my Droid. The second question is, is there any way to make the display even dimmer or off while it is in the desk docking station? Any and all help is appreciated, thank you in advance for your help.

I can help you with question 1. On the home screen do a long post. Widgets will be one of the options. Select power control from that list.

For the first, yes. Long Press on your home screen, select widgets, and scroll down to Power Control. It's a default widget built in to the OS.

Not sure on the second, but I don't think it's possible without rooting.

on the 2nd question, yes just push the hold key on the top of your phone (or while its in the cradle the button on the left) and that will turn the screen off.

Yes, Joshua117 has it right....the power off botton at far left side top when in docking station is the button to push....I use it nightly....:motdroidhoriz:

Go under menu>settings>applications>development> and make sure "stay awake" is unchecked. And then yes, just use the power button to put the screen to sleep.

Thanks all that worked just fine. Just to check though the apps such as the alarm clock continue to work even when the screen is asleep?
