Turning Off Music and Navigation

Is there any way to quickly turn off the music and navigation apps?

I found that I can "turn off" the music app from playing by just clicking the "pause or stop" icon on the current song (then I launch something else). I cannot figure out how to actually exit the music player other than to launch something else, but maybe what I'm doing is all you can do (it does work).

To turn off Navigation, just click or hold the menu button and choose "Exit Navigation." The music player does not have such an exit choice, but the method I described seems ok. Maybe someone else can add some better tips on this.

Well I cant figure it out either but what I did was download a free app killer...

There is a music player widget that lets you pause stop or skip. Not sure if it exits the app completely though.
