Turning off auto-complete/spellcheck feature?

Is it possible to disable the auto-complete or spellcheck feature or whatever its called that always comes up when typing on the Dinc? Gets in the way and makes typing weird....

I'm sorry i can't help you, but I hope someone else will because I have the same issue, its a pain in the butt to me also, I realize it's probably me the operator but it would be nice to shut off. thanks

Assuming you're using the stock keyboard, go to menu-->settings--> language & keyboard-->Touch Input-->Text input. You can disable spell check, auto complete, etc. from there.

on my samsung you have to open the keyboard hit the wheel symbol and it is in there
