I love little R2 and his boot effect, but he does not seem to know the meaning of "Silent" or "Vibrate". With Spring Semester about to begin, this will simply not do.

I humbly look to the Root Community for your collective wisdom and advice.

Delete the sound file or edit and repack with the desc file changed to no pointer to the file.

The easiest is deleting the sound file, or renaming it. Use root tools or similar program to access /system/media and rename it to .bak or any other name. The other way is to access the boot zip animation and then unpack with 7zip, edit the desc file and repack with 7zip. Put it back.

You mean rename the file's extension to .bak?
