Trying to text a picture but its coming in as a video

How do I prevent this? I am on a pc and sending a picture to the droid like this

(000) 000-0000@vtext.com

i also tried

(000) 000-0000@vzwpix.com

but again it comes in as a video and i cannot save the pic to the droid?

The stock doesn't handle that sort of thing as most would hope. Handcent seems to be the txting app that works closer to how one would expect.
