Flashed sbf but lost phone number/prl. Please Help!

First off, I will offer a big THANK YOU to DF and community (and to TBH for providing the sbf). I have learned so much in just a little time due to the good information and good people here.

That said, I followed the instructions to flash the 2.4.33 sbf. I believe I followed the instructions exactly and my D2G booted to an 'out-of-the-box' state. Everything seemed to be working fine, except that I was unable to connect to the network to send/receive calls, text or data. If I were in the US I would just *228 and I think everything would work. BUT I'm in South Korea, so I can't *228. I restored the backup I made with d2 bootstrap so I'm back to the specs I had before flashing, except for the phone number and service.

When I look at the phone info, my phone number appears as 000-000-6844 and my MIN is also 0000006844. My phone detects the CDMA network and I even get the international data roaming notification but I can't get any service. SIM card seems ok. I've been doing quite a bit of searching among the various forums for a solution without success. I have been playing around with QPST 2.7 363, CDMA workshop and a couple of prl's I downloaded and I have radiocomm 11.11.11 but haven't tried it yet.

In summation, I'm a slightly educated noob who is in need of a solution. I won't be back in the US for 3 more months and I'd like to use my phone until then. Suggestions??

Thanks in advance...

sure, I started with the droid activation screen after I flashed the sbf and I've actually factory reset a couple of times after restoring my backup to see if I could figure it out. but I can't activate via *228 in Korea so I just 4-corners skip the activation prompt. then I'm stuck at the same place as before: 4 bars, no service.

If anyone knows how to alter the NV items .txt to properly input my phone number and tell me what the proper MSN should be relative to my phone number I think I can write those things to the phone using CDMA workshop/QPST 2.7. I think I could also write a current Verizon prl to my phone if someone's willing to upload the latest version.

But would those things solve my problem(s)?

OR, am I making this too complicated? Is there actually a simple solution?

PM me with your yahoo or skype messenger and i'll teach you how to activate properly.

Many thanks to you, jb_alphamale. The steps you provided for manual activation were basically correct. The only difference was that my MIN was not identical to my phone number. I was able to place a call to VZW global roaming hotline and get that number. Then I went into the programming menu and entered the correct MDN, MIN and the SID you gave me (30026). After reboot everything worked. That SID actually worked when the two that the VZW rep provided did not!

That means that the CDMA in SK works on forwarding MIN and MDN. Glad that you solved it.
