Anyone know how to send a photo from your email to a phone these days?

I text to cell phones from my computer all the time through email.... using the [email protected] or vzwpix.com

I used to be able to send photos to a cell phone (i.e., pics of people to add to my contacts or a funny pic to my sis)

For some reason when I've tried to do this over the past year when the person receives the text it says the photo was removed.

Does anyone know why this is happening and if there is a new way to do this?

Gmail account on your own phone, possibly others as well if they have email setup on their phone. I still text my wife from my pc at work using the vtext address and that still works but use her gmail for any pics.
