Ronald D: What is the model of your phone?

d dalt: motorola droid 2 (A955)
d dalt: it is software related also
d dalt: are you a real person?
Ronald D: .Thank you.
Ronald D: Yes.
d dalt: ok
Ronald D: What's the exact problem on your phone?
d dalt: well, b4 i begin may i have this conversation emailed to me?
d dalt: after we are through
Ronald D: Actually you can save this conversation.
d dalt: ok good enough
d dalt: well there seems to be a few applications installed onto the phone that i do not use, but yet i cannot uninstall them as i normally would
Ronald D: Are those came with the phone?
d dalt: indeed, apps like "City ID" & "Blockbuster" and a few others
d dalt: i simply do not have an option like i would with any other app to uninstall them.
Ronald D: I am sorry, but we cannot uninstall those application or we can't delete them.
d dalt: well the iphone 4 for verizon doesn't have any other "extra" apps that cannot be uninstalled, and my droid 2 is just as expensive, why should i have to have non-essential apps that cannot be removed?
Ronald D: I am sorry, but as much as i can help you, we do not have any settings or options to delete those application that came from the phone.
d dalt: the city ID apps always reminds me that im using it on trial, then when it expires its always asking me to purchase it, daily
Ronald D: I am sorry to know that.
d dalt: the gmail app came on the phone, but i can remove it normally, why can i not remove other built-in apps
Ronald D: Yes you can remove the gmail application from the phone, but the reset of it you can't, i do apologize for the inconvenience that it has caused you.
d dalt: i paid full price for this device, why has it come with apps that CANNOT be removed?
d dalt: they are annoying and depreciate the value of the device
Ronald D: I am sorry, but we do not have any information regarding those application that can't be deleted.
d dalt: did motorola put these apps on the phone or was it verizon wireless?
Ronald D: That is for Verizon Wireless purposes.
d dalt: but i do not use these apps, why would i not have an option to remove them? they cost money and i have no desiure to pay for these extra apps. shouldnt there be a way to remove said apps? wouldnt you agreee that if you dont use them, then you should have the option the remove?
Ronald D: I know your frustrations, but as much as i can help you there is no settings nor options to delete those applications.
d dalt: is there a way for you to make sure my concerns are reviewed?
Ronald D: Yes, all calls and conversations here in Motorola are being recorded and it is being reviewed with our much higher people, so expect that it will be escalated, thank you as well for bringing this matter to us.
hopefully we can make a difference, please everyone! keep it up!!!dancedroid
