Thunderbolt - Shapewriter not functioning

Hey guys.

Just got the Thunderbolt. Love it! When that 4G is connected the speeds are simply amazing. I do have an issue I was hoping you could check out...

I am used to Shapewriter keyboard (used it exclusively on my Droid X). To my Thunderbolt, I downloaded the apk., installed and selected it as default keyboard in settings. To no avail, the default android keyboard still comes up in text situations.

Can you guys look into this?

Its nice to see a fellow ShapeWriter user! I find it better and easier to use than swype!

After you went into settings did you long press on the text input field and choose 'input method' or the equivalent? You have to do that and choose the ShapeWriter keyboard from there to get it to work. Hope it helps!
