The phone is great but.....

First time post.
I just love the performance of the phone.

The screen really isn't that bad and if you are outside it's great. Also if you use it for navigation in the car, the screen is great because of the glare of the sun doesn't bother it.

Battery life (been through 5 full cycles) isn't as good as I was wanting but definitely better than the Charge or the TBolt. I have seen videos of the extended battery but can't fine one.Anyone know where I can get one?

The only thing I really hate about the phone is the camera. In good light it does ok but in inside or low light it's terrible and yes I tried diff apps. No matter what app it is very laggy and quality is bad. Would this be something that Moto would be able to fix in a software update?

Overall I must say I like the phone but the camera really does bother me. I know it's a phone and if I want a good quality picture to use a camera but there are still moments when I'm carrying just my phone.

I honestly can't complain about the screen. While others seem to be worried about it, I'm very pleased with it, but I'm glad you like the phone. There's actually a thread (a couple really) about the camera.

If the camera is your only complaint, I'd say that's a good thing. The phone could have problems much worse than that.

Camera is not bad I guess. I hate the battery life. I have to charge it twice a day with that too no use... One hour of no use battery went from 78% to 60%.. bah

Don't get me wrong, I really like the phone and have intentions of returning it. Like I said the phone is great except the camera.

I don't know what it is but the LTE phone are just power eaters. The Charge and the TBolt are worst than the Bionic. I have used both of them. Extended battery for sure....

remember, the Bionic has an AF lens, not FF like most cameras. if you use the stock app you can see the little box, this is your focus.. you can move it by long pressing on the box and moving it to your desired focal point and then wait for it to turn green. it takes some very decent photos if you follow these steps.
any small camera is going to have a challenge in low light though..

Dude..im so trying that out tomorrow. I was playing around with the camera and never noticed it tries to focus unlike all my other camera phones..thanks for pointing that out.

Re: extended battery, Verizon was selling them for half off (24.99) this weekend. Rumor has it, the deal may last through the end of the month, so I'd go to your local VZW and inquire! :)

I just got my extended battery shipped from VZW today, and it's definitely the way to go. It showed a 15% charge when I installed it, and took around 3 hours to fully charge. Almost 8 hours have past since I unplugged, and with moderate usage, I'm still sitting at 70% as I write this. That said, I do have 4G disabled and have been on WiFi for the last 4 hours, but still, that's pretty decent, and I suspect it will get a little better once the battery cycles a few times.

Definitely. That's why I only turn it on when I need it. I work at home, so I'm on WiFi most of the time anyway. I do travel a lot for work, so having access to 4G will come in handy.
