[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

I have supercharger on option 9. And I an overclocked at 1.25. Its not that my phone its bogged down it just doesn't seem like it is any faster. From the way everyone on here talks I would think it would be a noticeable increase in speed.

The only way I know to do anything with jakesmods is through the modcentral. I'm not sure if I have busybox. Does out come on the cm7 ROM? And as far as I know I don't have script manager. I know I am new to this stuff but I am learning quickly from everyone on here.

Speed is pretty subjective (aside from benchmarks, which I don't bother with, as what matters to me is how my phone feels to me)...I definitely see a difference between no V6 and V6 w/option 9, but I don't overclock, as I never find myself really waiting for anything to happen on my D2, and battery life is higher priority to me than absolute speed.

If you're not noticing any change from 1.25 OC and V6, then I'm pretty surprised...

Sometimes your phone can't handle the OC. Try turning it down to 1.1 for a bit as your phone may be heating up. Also turning off all animations and haptic improves performance.

True...been so long since I did much OC'ing back in my D1 days I forgot about that...my D1 would start stumbling above 900Mhz, but zoom along quite happily right at 900.

I was one of the lucky ones lol. My daily driver was Chevy's ulv 1.1 kernal :D My D2 on the otherhand spazzes out at 1.3 but runs strong at 1.2. I recently started to run undervolted stock though to lengthen battery as an experiment.

I hardly wait for anything on my d2 as well so my speed can't get much better than it is now. It's all about battery life now so I undervolt at 1ghz.

What was said above is true. Sometimes, overclocking too high for your device can cause what's called "turtling", where your phone will slow down big time.
Also, remember as good as these mods are, they are not miracles. You should notice an increase in speed and what not, but don't get unrealistic about it. There is a limit. That being said, I love my mods!

Damn you and your little D1 CPU too! ;-)

Yeah, I was highly jealous of folks like you w/more robust CPUs in their D1s...I could only dream of going over 1.0.

OC'ed at 1.393ghz and my phone is extremely responsive. At 1.2 it feels bogged down, at 1.3 still does...at 1.1 its ok...at 1.393 @76volt's is like its sweet spot. not 77 or 78 or 75 volts...but 76 volts LOL. I have it undervolted at 300mhz down to 13 volts. So for me this is my sweet spot between performance and battery life. I also have chainfire 3d for graphics.

Soooo with v6 super charger, jakesbitemod, chainfire 3d, and being overclocked and undervolted. I get avg of 14-20 hours of regular use. playing games i get less

Let me asure you my friend..your not alone..but then again, seriously, we can all probably agree..Our stock 1ghz pr. On cm7 is just plenty fast on my device, instant as a matter of fact..zero lag..non stop....just reboot once a day is all I do..I've added all the tweaks..ALL of them..each time I checked tests and most times it slowed my down a few hundred on points...but, once after playing with all the settings all day..lol I scored 500+ higher....but, would lag....If your phone is already fast and not lagging..I wouldn't tweak it..if your lagging, just bump your clock speed..however if you use these tools for battery, I've heard great reviews that they can help..but, honestly...I am finally happy with the speed since the ota kernel and cm7 got together and did a dance in my D2...just as fast as I need, and what's faster than instant..lol I just love testing all the stuff out, and flashing...well, you all know this flasholic.....I won't be happy unless I flash something! Lol peace too all! Been busy and had to poke my head back in! Cheers!!

One Epic Blue and Bold Cm7(otaGBK) .----->fastforward!
