[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

Can someone test if the organization/nick is working? It has to be enabled in Call Settings, then you simply need to edit someones contact and add a organization name. Now when you call or get a call from that person, it should show the organization. The 9/8 build and prior, this didn't work.

I do believe I'm stuck in boot loop land. The arrow goes around once, then andy skates back in and it repeats, about 2 minutes now.

I thought I followed the instructions to a T, evidently not. Anyone wanna help a noob out?

Where are you in the process, what steps have you completed?

It might help to boot into stock recovery (power up holding X key, then press either Search button - on Froyo, or Volume buttons - on GB, to get into Stock Recovery menu, then try wipe data/factory reset and reboot and see if that helps.

If not, then simplest is to SBF back to Froyo and reapply things, being careful to follow things accurately step-by-step.

I got all the way through the install rom from zip stage, then when it was booting it seemed like all was well, then started looping.

I tried getting into stock recovery, but I didn't know the buttons got changed, so I was trying the froyo keys, oops. I just did the data wipe, and it's now working, you sir are my hero. At first I thought it screwed up again. The arrow went around quite a few (10 ish) times then he skated back in, went around once and loaded up. YAY!!

The 1st boot on a rom install can take up to 5 min sometimes so be patient. Glad you're up and running!

Sometimes with this ROM it will loop once right before the end..not sure exactly why..but I tell you, it will boot...as ldopa said, your not looping unless it happens a few times and goes no where..and thanks ldopa for letting people know that it does take some time whenever dalvick is wiped...and fresh installs..Don't remember who it was that told everyone to pull battery after 30 seconds..mustve frogged a many people..lol

I think I've just found kind of a huge bug in CM7's contact management....if I try to add a new contact as an Exchange contact, the only fields available are First/Last name. No other fields appear, either during creation, or if I go back to edit the contact.


Adding a new Gmail contact shows all fields, perfectly normal.


Can someone else using an Exchange account on this ROM please verify? Thanks.

hey, i sbfed back to froyo, got on the GB update but when i go to root it wont work. im running windows and i instaled v7 but whenever my phone goes to reboot it goes into bootloader as if i was gonna sbf...
anyone help?

Which sbf method did you use? The tbh sbf file caused me to do this. I had to use ezsbf to correct it.

Just popped in to say hi. Miss you guys, I got my bionic on release day and have been busy with it. I'm no programmer but helping with beta testing some things. We got a CWM Recovery and CM7 boots, loaded with bugs but it boots. I'd say a couple more weeks and we should have a good nightly for it. Right now I use my d2 as a paperweight, I need to figure out something to do with it since they aren't really worth selling.

? I happen to get 200 for them when I sell them...they are awesome devices...I'm sure you didn't mean any harm or whatever, but you can sell it and it will sell...but if I were you, I would hold on to it, you never know when you may need it!

I'm trying to get parts now for three bionics...flex wires/cables, speaker/and screens...still fresh, but hope my supplier does something fast as its unusual for a new phone to come to people like me so quickly...

Well I tried using it as a game platform for my 5 year old, but he's too rough with it, paperweight is safer!
