[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

Good work as usual, but is there a changelog? I just like knowing what's different whenever I flash a new build.

See the Dev thread...I posted the changes in the CM7 change log that are new to this build.

[DEV_THREAD]Droid 2 CM7 with Gingerbread Kernel - Page 129

If you want you can go to the CM7 change log and click on the items to see their details...I didn't see anything significant for us, and don't notice any differences in use.

CyanogenMod nightlies changelog for Cdma_droid2

There are a few more changes after the 9/15 build, one of which looks very interesting, the partial wake lock released one, which affects users of the AOSP Email app:

Android Issue #9307 fixed - Partial wake lock released (android_packages_apps_Email)
Support Korean SMS encoding (android_frameworks_base)
add the ability to include liblog in libcutils (android_system_core)

Doesn't affect everyone the same, evidently, though the fix should ensure that you aren't subject to this issue in the future...
 
Just out of curiousity...does anyone know of any guides or threads that can teach me how to create my own custom roms? I would love to learn how to do this....mostly to make my wife more angrier at me...apparently I spend more time talking to you guys on this forum than I do her...lol plus I find this "culture" very interesting...kinda my escape from my own reality. Thanks guys.

Wait, what's your address? Thinking I can drop off my wife and she can hang w/your wife while we play android. All I need is to arrange conjugal visits and I'm good... :D

Sadly, this is true...I find myself, often probing the forums to help or just shoot the breeze..lol My daughter says I need to give it a rest..so I have been trying real hard..lol

I remember a few months ago just starting out on this forum I was sooo scared to try anything like flashing a rom or even rooting for that matter...but with ya'lls help (yes I'm from the south) I can't imagine having any more fun...now if I could only get her to understand...lol it must be because she has a blackberry and not a droid 2...lol

I finally pried my wife off her Blackberry a few months ago and she's on a DX2 now. I've flashed the recently released 2.3.4 converted Atrix ROM, V6 Supercharger, and she is SO much happier than she was on her Blackberry. She didn't believe me, but now has to utter those frequently denied words in a marriage:

"Honey, you were right..."

This was mentioned over on rootz. It's a governor zip that will make all Governors available in cm settings/performance. It's working great so far. I'm using smartass gov. It even works great with jakes mod.

So if you're interested, go ahead and flash it!

Thanks fo posting...flashed it, and it is pretty cool to have a list of governors in CM7 settings to choose from.

So does it matter if I flash this before flashing Jake's mod?
 
Lol @ all the truth in the past several posts...Indeed your probably right! My ex is now an android person, but whenever I see her she hides her device? Am I missing something? Lmao!
