[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

Dl the bootanimation.zip that you want (I have some cool ones if you need)
Boot anims are kept in either data/local or system/media so use root explorer or another root file manager to access these folders.

Take the new animation and place it in system/media (make sure it is named bootanimation.zip and that it's the only file of that name in system/media or data/local.
Reboot and enjoy your new animation!

If you have any more questions, send me a pm and ill walk you through it.

D2

You and your manual ways! Seriously though, it's great to know how to things the hard way, but I sure love any app or util that makes customization easier. You know?

YAY, downloaded OTA update and now I'm stuck at the bootloader screen. Guess I have to do this SBF thing I keep hearing about. Anyone have a convenient link to a guide or necessary downloads?

While on the topic of bootanimations, anyone know where I can find the one where the droid flies across the screen twice, but on the second time he stops to look around. Then he flies off again, pops up on the top right side and waves? I lost that one and can't seem to find it again.

CM7-Apex-Liberty-CM7-Apex-CM7-.....I dont know!!!!!!!!!! Wwwwaaaaawhoooooooooo!!!!

That should work fine, but I'd use the links in this paragraph in the OP of this thread for the files:

1. SBF back to stock Froyo - don't root, just get to stock Froyo: SBF - Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!; RSD Lite 5.3 & moto drivers - http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...1&d=1306603535. RSD Lite 5.4: http://db.tt/yGo8M2k (If you're already on a Froyo ROM, you still need to do this to make sure you're on stock Froyo before applying the OTA GB update.)

After installing RSD Lite and the moto drivers (if you haven't got them already), you can start w/step 8 in the guide.

That'll work too. Dl
Full d2 sbf file (extract to desktop)
Rsd lite 5.5 (I posted it a few pages up)
Drivers (moto)

Make sure you have a full charge. Put the phone in bootloader. Open rsd lite, click the box with (...). Choose the sbf file from the desktop.
Plug in the phone in bootloader.
Hit start. Let it ride.

Everyone has their threads to recommend, but really its all the same.
Rsd
Sbf file
Drivers.

My d2 is much, much smarter than me.
