[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

Quick question. Prior to being on CM7, any time I'd overclock for an extended period of time on other ROMs (my overclock app of choice was Milestone Overclock) my phone's battery would get VERY hot and I had to be careful to turn it off after a half hour or so. Overheating doesn't seem to be an issue with CM7, even when I'm overclocked to 1.3 ghz. My question is, is it safe for me to leave my phone on the charger overnight while overclocked? After my experience with Milestone Overclock (although I suspect that Motoblur and all the bloatware associated with it constanly running in the background was the culprit there), I'm hesitant to leave my phone overclocked for long periods of time. Is it safe?

it depends on what overclock governor you in. with performance governor it will get hot. but with intertactive X with the phone is not in use it goes to the lowest setting. when overclocking, your cpu isnt meant to be ran at 1.3 the hole time.

did you make sure you went into the data file and save the 99charger as root and start at boot. after that you should reboot

You shouldn't need to do this on CM7...settings should stick w/out using the 99 file option...mine stick w/out any actions other than setting them in the main V6 script.

So I have the v9. Do I need to download script manager? I went into terminal emulator and did the setup, But don't see any difference in my phones performance.

So got around to updating my D2 and I wanted to try out CM7 GB. I got as far as gaining root after installing the GB update and wiping cache and data. However, if I try to install the 9/08/2011 build I in Clockwork Recovery, I get the following error: "E:Can't open /sdcard/CM4D2-GB-20110908.zip" I've verified the checksum with [DEV_THREAD]Droid 2 CM7 with Gingerbread Kernel but it just doesn't seem to work. When I try to open it on the PC, it says it's an invalid zip file. I've even tried the 20110902 build, but I run into the same issue. I've tried Fix Permissions, wiping data and cache, wiping Dalvik cache, but so far nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like it may be something to do w/your SD card. Can you open the zip file on your SD card from Root Explorer or other apps?

So I bought the TBH app and downloaded the Full 2.3.20 SBF file (update.zip format)...now what?

Where did this file download to?

Before flashing it, do I need to wipe cache, mount stuff, anything like that? What about after?
