OK well how bout this... I'm thinking of trying some new roms and was wondering about the tbh file to flash/sbf back to stock. How does this work and is it better than rsd lite? If not where can I get a tutorial on using rsd lite... I've found one for a bricked DROID2 but not sure if it's the same although it probably is

I'm seeing a term I've never seen before; "wakelocks." What the heck is a wakelock, and why should I pay attention to it?

OK I'm trying to get rsd lite to show my device and its not showing it even after I run as administer... any ideas?
Also... do I need to do all this from the bootloader screen?

Yes!
Put the phone in bootloader
Open rsd lite
Plug in the phone
It should show up as "s flash" and say connected if your drivers are good
Click the box with (...)
Select the dl FULL sbf file (make sure it's unzipped)
Now hit start and let it ride

If it's not showing up in rsd, it's probably a driver issue. Re dl the drivers

Yes, you need to do it all from the bootloader screen. To get to the bootloader, power up the phone while holding the up key on the keyboard. The most recent version of RSD is in my signature, if you have an earlier version, try updating it. I had problems with it recognizing my phone on Windows 7 with earlier versions (4.9 mostly)

Yes, it needs to be unzipped, and there should be a .sbf file in the .zip file. The .sbf file is what you need.

A wakelock is a mechanism which can prevent the system from going into a "low power" state.

From my understanding, It keeps the phone on

Well I haven't tried it yet... Having lots of issues with cyanogenmod mod on my phone so I'm thinking about sbf'ing and then getting back on cyanogen

Yes, under the reboot part. It doesn't always work for me though. Power off normally. Then hold power and up to access bootloader mode.

Cm7 has been acting weird for me lately too so I did an sbf and did a clean install.

It's still not acting like it used to a week or two ago. I'm not sure what the deal is. It....... saddens me.
