[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

Anybody else seeing they're phone running warmer than usual on any recent builds?

Sent from my smoking Droid 2 running CM7!

Several things....

Yes warmer.. maybe that's what hardlocked me twice yesterday.
Batttery yes it sucks

Facebook ? I'm not seeing a bunch of wakelocks from it so I don't think so.

get "betterbatterystats" from the market if u want to check for wakelocks....

Mine doesn't show up in battery use either but I just ckecked and its back in my running services @48min so far. I haven't opened the app since prior to killing it an hour ago. If its not eating battery it sure is friggen annoying lol.

1.7.1 is current version

Yup - that's the version I have, most current in Market.

I have 49s of Facebook wakelocks since unplugged...not a big deal. I'm not seeing anything that leads me to believe FB is the culprit here.

I calibrated my battery and after 3.5 hours I'm showing 80% which is about what I would expect at this point, about 5% an hour is normal for me on this ROM. So maybe my initial faster battery loss wasn't representative.

Its #4 for me on wakelocks at 1min. One minute may not seem like alot but like I said its #4 on the list so that's pretty big. Maybe I'm overthinking it but it really annoys me that it starts itself and runs in the background. At one time it was using 35mb!!! Check settings/applications/running services

xfloggingkylex posted on the Dev thread:

"I'm actually getting better battery life, 6h15m off charger with 40m display on and I'm at 80%.

Loving the 926 build."

I haven't gotten an update on the FB app that I remember recently...I'll have to go check versions and see what's up.

Back - yeah, the last update I see in FB in the Market is from September 13th. So that doesn't seem to jive w/the app being the battery issue, unless a very recent change on the server side over the weekend is making the app suck battery. FB doesn't show up on my battery usage list in Settings, and in Battery History app is the bottom app on CPU usage, shows about 24s total.

Its def the 9/26 build. I reinstalled 9/25 and is running fine. No problems.

Question.

Why?

It's not so drastic if you've made a copy of it on your pc. Then feel free to erase it, format it, eat it. Whatever.

You would lose any files that might authorize apps (I bought Titanium Backup a long while ago, and it uses a file on my SD card to verify that purchase) if you have any of those. If you have apps installed to your SD card then you would lose those, not sure if the OS tries to reload them automatically or not. You'd lose all pictures/videos you've taken, any music you stored there, and all data that any apps that store data on the SD card put there. If you use any apps to make backups, you'd lose those backup files. You'd lose any nandroid backups you've made from CW recovery. You'd lose any files you've downloaded via your browser on the phone.

Etc., etc.

You might be better off w/a selected purge of files you don't need any more, and take a look at Clockwork Recovery backups in particular (SDcard>Clockworkmod>Backup) - they are quite large.

You can also clear your download cache in ROM Manager, that will clear any ROMs/add-ons downloaded from your SD card.

You could move all pics/videos to your PC and clear them from the card as well...

OK well how bout this... I'm thinking of trying some new roms and was wondering about the tbh file to flash/sbf back to stock. How does this work and is it better than rsd lite? If not where can I get a tutorial on using rsd lite... I've found one for a bricked DROID2 but not sure if it's the same although it probably is
