I have searched that entire thread and cannot find how to use the MM zip file. I would ask there but this thread is more active. How do we use the km zip file?

Still constantly getting error bad file on installing nightlies. Always have to fix permissions and restart, re download the file like 10 times to get the md5sums to match up. Happens on 3g and wifi. Any ideas?

Are you using tool box to install it?

Op updated w/this information.

As of 9/21/2011, New CM7GB-D2 builds are now available in via the ROM Toolbox app (available from the Market - in both the free and paid versions)

To download the CM7GB-D2 builds: Open ROM Toolbox, select "ROM Manager>RevNumbers CM7 Nightlies" to see a list of available builds. Select the most recent one using the file name, e.g., CM4D2-GB 20110923 is the Sept 23, 2011 build.

To Install builds using ROM Manager: Open ROM Manager. Select "Install ROM from SD Card" and browse to the folder "Romtoolbox/Downloads/RevNumbers" and select the build you just downloaded.

To install the builds manually: Press and hold the power button until you get the haptic feedback buzz and the Phone Options menu appears. Select Reboot and then on the next menu select Recovery. Once CW Recovery boots up install the updated build using the Install ZIP from SD card option.

To install the builds using ROM Toolbox: ROM Toolbox is currently not compatible w/the most recent version of Clockwork Recovery (5.0.2.0). If you want to you can flash an older version of CW Recovery in ROM Manager and then use ROM Toolbox to both download and install builds, but I don't see any reason to use an older version of CW Recovery that is known to have bugs and was replaced by a newer version just to use ROM Toolbox to install, when there are two perfectly easy install options (above) that make use of the current version of CW Recovery. So I'm not going to post the "how-to" on this one and treat this like an advanced option that folks who really want to do this can figure out on their own. :)

No, manually install as always. I boot into CWR every time and manually install. Wipe cache, install zip from sd
Never had this problem before until I came to cm7. Every other rom I've ever downloaded installed perfect with matching md5sums

Missed your earlier posts, I assume you're on CWR 5.0.2.0.

You could have issues with your sd card. Are you able to download and flash any other roms?

Can anyone help me out and tell me if they are able to hook their D2 to their PC and have it recognized? If so what are your settings to do so with cm7. I can't get my Moto drivers to recognize my D2 when I try to hook it up.

Do also wipe Dalvik cache and mount system prior to installing?

I've seen many others say they have to connect via USB, dusconnect, and reconnect in order for their phones to get recognized, and this has been the case for me too.

What setting do you put your phone on? There isn't a PC mode on cm7.

Yes I do everything. Correctly. Its a matter of the md5sums not matching unless I fix permissions and reboot/re download multiple times until one time they finally match the md5 then it installs no problem
