Tethering for laptop

Hope this is in the correct spot.

I was using PdaNet on my original Droid, always gave me bad connections.... and I'm in a great area.

Uninstalled. Few months later now and tried to reinstall...now all I receive is missing driver errors. I've been an I.T for years and can't get PdaNet to work.

What is the consensus / recommended? I'm stuck.

I use Barnacle...never had a problem with that app before. Doesn't help answer your question, but gives you another (free) app to see if it works better for you.
