Are there any plans to open up the private beta to the public? I assume this will be a paid app once out of beta, correct?

Never said it was legal nor right, just said it's not considered a "paid" app because Swype isn't actively selling it to consumers. I have the LEGAL copy which I signed up for when the private beta registration was open and did not spend a cent on it (free). They gave away free test versions for people to beta on the grounds that it's not to be shared or distributed (private beta) this is what makes it illegal (breach of contract/terms of use), not the whole paid vs free argument you are making.

Who cares what the argument here is....the bottom line (that you just agreed to) is that its illegal to be sharing this app, meaning this topic should be closed and the link removed.

Man, I love me some Swype. Course I'm part of the official beta group and haven't shared it with anyone, so...am I alone in that on this board or what?

Ok, the distrbution of swype, except from swype's devs themeselves, is ILLEGAL. We have closed plenty of threads and removed the links, and I will be pming a moderator or 2 and see if we can get this one closed too.

It is a great keyboard, but it isn't worth getting in trouble with the law to get it. It will be released in due time.
