Swype and the Droid 1?

Does anyone know of or knows how to get swype for the Droid1? I had a .apk along time ago, and it kept doing the blue border never write a word thing. Just curious if it'll ever come out for the Droid1.

I'd like a good keyboard like swype... just doesn't seem to be one.

Only way is to get in on the beta for swype.

Swype is public beta. Google swype and see if they will accept you. We do not allow requesting the swype apk in the Droid Forums.

Thanks for the tip. I registered and was able to download the beta. Not sure if I like it or not as I am a old blackberry user and am use to using two thumbs to type.

I tried the tutorial which comes with the app and it is pretty easy and amazing that it knows exactly what word you are trying to type even though you swipe over multiple letters. I'll give it a try and if I don't like it I can always go back to the Android standard keyboard.
