I got on the official site to see if there were any reviews yet and they have in big bold red letters that because of high demand, they're not shipping until the 4th of May. Effing stupid. If it has such a high demand, why are they waiting, instead of letting it go early? I was looking forward to a new phone today :dry:

Probably waiting for more of the phones to come in and the amount of orders they are dealing with. That's why they had a pre-order.
Did you order it on the phone? If so, you'll get it overnight like they say. And if it doesn't come back of course they will refund the charges. You will have to request it.

It was for me too but I've seen some different shipping prices/options posted so I'm assuming Verizon was changing them as more orders were coming through.
Not on special orders. Lets say you're requesting an "upgrade" from Droid to Incredible. You would have to pay the overnight charge.

I went through the "upgrade" portion of the site after logging in, but did have to pay full price since I just bought the Droid subsidized last year.
Always, and I mean always call in those situations. Tell them you're not happy with your current phone. Verizon is very good at trying to accommodate their customers. I'm not saying you'll get the renewal price, but you might save some money.

Of course, you realize, overnight means you'll get it the day after they ship, not the day after you order.
Verizon has always got their overnight orders to me unless it was a weekend or a special order.

I am of the "I WANT IN NOW" Crowd. I just went to my Local VZW store and picked it up this morning.
The sales person even did my rebate for me. All I did was gripe a tiny bit about how I hate doing the rebates.
I never could do those pre-order things.
I am not complaining at all with my VZW experience. :icon_ banana:

Oh, they gave me the 2 Gig micro SD card too. Free, Said the Incredible needed one to operate correctly.

Overnight is supposed to be free, yes.
However, I figured $8.99 wouldn't break me so I didn't nit pick over it.
I did just get an email with a tracking number saying it will be delivered
tomorrow - so maybe me paying extra for overnight got their attention
and I was bumped ahead of those shipping later due to demand?
Who knows, all I know is Fedex already has it.
