streaming issues

I recently had to replace my phone due to a cracked screen. The phone I received from asurion has had some issues streaming music and video. Pandora, and youtube apps have the same problem as online. When streaming the feed pauses and switches to play constantly, creating a stuttering effect. I thought it might be due to poor signal strength, so I tried logging onto wifi....same issue. After getting fed up with pandora, I loaded some songs onto the phone to bypass the problem, and the same start/ stop; play/ pause problem still occurs. Any suggestions for why this is happening?
