HELP; my son formatted my SD card!
OK, the technical stuff first:
Phone: Droid X
System version: 2.3.340
Model: DROIDX
Android Version: 2.2.1
Baseband Version: BP_C_01.09.07P
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9-g55626e1
w30471@il93lnxdroid08#1
Build Number: VZW
ERI version: 5
PRL version: 52220
OK, not sure all that was required but thought I would provide it as I am now lost (and ready to shoot my 13 year old "Genius" kid)! :icon_evil:
My "Genius" decided that he should format my SD card (without asking or telling me) so he could load all his music since I was going to let him use my phone while he went to his aunts house for a week .
On Friday I decided to try rooting my phone so I could try a new ROM.
Rooted with Z4 (went fine). Loaded Wireless Tether (went fine). Loaded Rom Manager (base and premium); went fine. Ran Flash ClockworkMOD Recovery (in ROM Manager) went fine.
Ran Bootstrap Recovery; was asked for "Superuser Permission" , hit OK. It said Success, and I hit Reboot Recovery.
Phone reboots, gets to M logo, then shows a white triangle with green astrix in center along with droid logo. Hit magnify (last button on right) and bootstrapper starts.
I have an error message that says:
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command
Tried all 3 options available:
1) apply sdcard:update.zip (no joy)
2)wipe data/factory reset (no joy)
3)wipe cache partition (no joy)
Anyone have some way I flash my SD to get my droid required files, or in my own ignorance tell me if him formatting my SD is the problem?
For what it is worth the little genius is no longer allowed to touch my phone, and he will not be taking it with him.
PLEASE, if someone has a answer please let me know what to do, I want to try playing with my own phone, not let the genius play with it.
Thanks in advance:
