Someone help! Not only am I addicted to this phone...

My wife gets pissed when we are watching a movie in the evening and I am emailing my girlfriend. We love our Droids.

I would also like to join the Droid Anonymous group. I tried the out of sight out of mind technique and wrapped it up and put it in a box but I kept taking it out again.

I have to say, I'm an ex iPhone and ex Windows Mobile device user and I've never been this much in love with a phone before. It's just so AWESOME! :yeahbaby01:

Like a previous poster I get the "is there an app for that?" from my girlfriend/ex-wife (yeah, she's both) whenever I need something. I was in the loo the other day, and we were out of toilet paper I called downstairs for some, and she said "What? There's no app for that? I thought the Droid could do anything...."

Last night, I got some of the family together for my daughter's 19th birthday, well my brother, and sister in law both have iPhones, my other sister in law has a BB Storm, my sister and my daugther have the iPod Touch, and two of my nieces have smart phones as well, so we were all sitting in my mom's dining room having a "smart phone convention" so to speak and we were comparing phones, and apps, and what not.... Well, Debbie is in the living room, and calls out... "Are we going to eat, or do we need an app for that?" (BTW she is planning on getting either the N1, or something similar in the next few weeks, we'll see then who the addict is)

We all freely admitted our addictions to our devices, and we all agreed it was because they were all pretty powerful devices, and capable to so many things. We love our games, bar code scanners, Facebook apps, weather radars, etc, etc....

My mom doesn't understand the appeal, she views iPhones and the like as too complex, all she wants to do is make phone calls....

Anyway, since I got my Droid, it's all I play with, I don't use my laptop as much since I got the phone. I love that fact that I can get any information and whatever I need is at my fingertips, without having to take the computer out, open it, log in ,and then go looking.. Need an address? Phone number? Directions??? Just whip out the Droid, and it's right there...

What works for me after being married 25 years is to have multiple addictions so there are multiple to choose from! For example, my wife gets really tired of my addiction to blues music, so I bought a motorcycle. She then got tired of that, so I bought a Droid! Think you get my point. Last week, I showed her a recipe app, she said "great, go cook something". I tried lastnight to impress her by using the LED app to display "I love you", she did'nt buy it! Will keep you posted if I find the dream app.

do you play the blues? I play a bit myself, I love it

don't wanna get busted for being off-topic, but yes, I hack at playing the blues... love it! I am a bassist.

hahahaha my mother complains. Ever since my sister got me and my father our first smart phones. she'll see, we're getting her the HTC Eris on Tues when I finally get my Droid! (can't wait... 2 days and 1 hour and it will be mine!!! *evil laugh*) She'll wonder how she ever lived without it!

sidenote: anyone else annoyed that their spell checkers don't automatically have "Droid" in them?
