So, as I await my Note 4, my girlfriend is asking me if I know of any new small phones out or coming out soon. Honestly, I always skim past those announcements.

Anyone know of any decent small phones?

Her sister has the s4 mini & she thinks she'd like something around that size.

She's got an s3 right now, so when she got it, she was in "flagship" territory, so I'd like to steer her away from lower end phones just to get the size she wants (I'm the one who'll have to live with her displeasure).

Might make a stop by vzw tomorrow & see what they have in stock.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

She might like the HTC One Remix. It's a 4.5" display, so a bit more compact than it's bigger brother.

S4 mini could be a good choice, but considering my current stance on my s4 which I wanna throw against the wall sometimes....maybe not recommend the s4 mini...

Couple of the Droid devices are a bit smaller in size so those could be good choices.

Think we'll have to check 'em out in person. I'm sure the s4 mini will be a bit better than her s3, but idk for how long, because I've been experiencing a bit of lag with my full-sized s4. Of course, she doesn't quite use the phone the same way I do, so she might be alright. I was trying to give her the s4 when the Note comes, but she's been jealous of the size of the mini since her sister got it.

Jonny, get her LG g2. It's physically same size as s3, but technologically years ahead with a much larger screen. Plus you can get it free on Verizon.
I got one for my mother in law and she loves it.

That's the thing, she doesn't really even like the size of the s3. She really likes that mini. Every time she asks me about small phones, that's what she brings up, but I wanna make sure I get her the best phone as far as performance and etc on top of the smaller form factor that she think she wants so bad.

She's really going against the grain on this one, since even Apple is making phones bigger now. Haha

If you can find it, the OG Moto X is still a solid phone. I don't like the larger phones either. This is the perfect size and it's fast. I love mine.

Gonna have to take her shopping. She's not even sure if there's an upgrade available on her plan. She still shares with her family. Saves us money, so you know...

Isn't the Alpha in the size range she is looking for?

Well now she's clarified that she wants something that fits in her pocket. The s3 barely does, so she's looking for something that size or smaller. Can be slightly smaller.

According to the Google search I just did in the alpha, it's an at&t exclusive?

I'm not sure if the Alpha is exclusive to AT&T. I keep forgetting that most people here are on verizon lol.

I bet you can get a great deal on an iPhone 5s for her. Unless she's a diehard Android fan like we are.

tap'n on my S5
She was using android when we met. I've solidified the idea in her head that that was the right choice.

If there's no upgrade on her plan, then maybe get her a used 1st gen Moto X?

Should fit right in that "mini" preference and it still is a very good phone today.
