I'm just curious, what good is it? You can't use it on WiFi, so they count minutes against you so it seems like a total waste. Am I missing something, sorry I've never used Skype and I'm trying to figure out if using it on my Fascinate would be to my advantage on anything.

It is GREAT for international calling.
My wife's family is in Brazil and she calls them nearly every day. There is a Skype plan we pay ~9/month for 300 minutes to anywhere in the world. Then the cell minutes just count against our plan time (which we never come close too anyway).
