Set CPU Profile favorites?

Ive been messing around with my Set CPU since i got a 1200 kernel

and i was just curious as to what profiles you guys have for the phone?

i have 3 for battery power
1st is 1000mhz limit at 75%
2nd is 700mhz limit at 50%
3rd is 450mhz limit at 15%

when the screen is off its at 750
when its charged/full its running 1200 ondemand

I was just wondering if you guys have a particular setup for longevity and power, since you can pretty much strain the processing to retard energy and last a long time, but no point if u can clock 1200 now you can you? :icon_eek:

do 51% instead of 50%.
screen off it can be at 400 max 250 min.

If you have your battery<75% at 1000mhz at a higher priority than the other two profiles, then those other two will never kick in. That is because if the battery<50% it is also <75% and the higher priority will take precedence.

Here are my profiles in the order of highest priority first:

1250 Max/ 250 Min

Screen off 300/250
Temp > 44C 500/250
Charging/Full 700/250
Battery < 20% 300/250
Battery < 40% 500/250
Battery < 50% 700/250

temp > 50C: 500/125 90%
charing/full: 600/125 80%
battery < 20%: 500/125 70%
battery < 30%: 600/125 60%


froyo handles screen power offs and power ons much better than 2.1 so you rly dont need to have it any higher than max 400 for sleep.

You have this set incorrectly. The Charging/full setting is when your phone is finished charging but is still plugged into the charger. Set this at 500-600mhz so you dont overheat your DROID.

eliassami5, it is my understanding that if the screen off has the lowest max (400 in your case) it should have the highest priority. As an example in your case, if the battery is less than 30% then your cpu will run at 600Mhz even with the screen off. This was talked about in skull one's overclock thread. Same thing for all the other profiles. They will all take priority and run your cpu faster even with the screen off thus using a lot more battery.

this is what i have now

If the Droid is in Screen Off/Standby, it is clocked to 125/400.
If the Battery Temp is > than 44.9C, it is clocked to 125/500.
If the Battery is charging (regardless of USB or Wall), it is clocked to 125/800.
If the Battery is < 21%, it is clocked to 125/400.
If the Battery is < 41%, it is clocked to 125/600.

What Scaling are you guys using? Is a certain one better for certain profiles?
