Serial number label and "protective" film

How important is the serial number label on the back? The film is peeling away and I believe the label is attached. I'd like to remove it but unsure of the label.

I peeled it and kept it in a spare drawer. The IMEI Hex is also in the flap were you put your SD card.

Your IMEI numbers and such, should also be on the inside of your SD card door. And on the box.. if you kept it.. but the device can pull up its own IMEI numbers with the #*# code... I forget what it is..

But I too kept mine...

Peel it and stick it to a page in a notebook of important stuff or somewhere safe just to have it on hand. It is on the flap as the above poster said but it's easier to read if I remember correctly on the plastic cover.

I also have mine in a safe place, although with it listed on the SIM/SD card door, it's not really necessary to keep it, but I do just because I'm anal like that :-D
