SD Card?

I want to make sure I don't have to re-do all of my music and picture files for a 4th time, it's very time consuming. I read that after rooting, unlocking and installing clockwork that you would have a virtual SD card that would be protected, but connecting to the PC, you can see a file on internal storage called SD card, separate from my pics and stuff but using Astro on the phone, all of my data is listed as already being in a file called SD card?

I haven't tried a wipe since installing CW to see, but my guess from what I was reading about it is that CW will ignore the /sdcard folder when you choose to wipe data & cache as opposed to the stock factory reset which blows everything out.
